The Voyage® Essentials
Finally, a practical, compassionate foundation in trauma awareness for coaches, clinicians & healing professionals.
Transform how you understand client behaviour, enhance therapeutic relationships, and work more safely and effectively across all modalities.
Why?
Because most training programmes barely touch on trauma, leaving you to figure it out alone. Essentials gives you the tools, frameworks, and language to confidently navigate trauma in any professional setting - without becoming a trauma specialist.
So, whether you're holding space in therapy rooms, coaching calls, retreats or bodywork sessions - trauma is in the room. And without the right map, it’s easy to get lost. This course gives you the compass: a solid, embodied understanding of trauma and nervous system regulation that transforms the way you work and how your clients heal.
The Problem
Are you tired of feeling unprepared when trauma shows up in your work?
You’re not alone. Many professionals notice:
- Clients whose symptoms don’t fit diagnostic frameworks
- “Resistance” that feels deeper than lack of motivation
- Therapeutic relationships that get stuck despite good rapport
- Your own nervous system triggered by certain client presentations
- Questions about when trauma-informed approaches really apply
You know trauma is everywhere. You just weren’t given the training to work with it.
You’ll walk away with:
A deep, embodied understanding of trauma
So you can stop second-guessing, and start responding with compassion and confidence. You’ll finally understand what’s happening beneath the surface — in behaviours, emotions, and relationships — and know how to meet it safely.
A full regulation toolkit that works in real life
No more scrambling to “ground someone” without knowing how. You’ll learn proven tools to support the nervous system — from breath to movement to vocalisation — and when to use each one
The ability to recognise trauma responses — and stay steady
Whether it’s fight, flight, freeze or fawn, you’ll recognise it in yourself and others — and respond with skill instead of shock or shame.
Language that builds safety, not harm
You’ll gain trauma-informed communication tools that regulate, not retraumatise — words that soothe the nervous system and make people feel seen.
An ethical, trauma-aware framework to work within your scope
Feel clear about your boundaries and your role — with practical guidance on when to hold space, when to pause, and when to refer on.
A grounded, confident presence your clients feel
No more “winging it.” You’ll radiate calm, clarity and integrity — and your clients, students or team will feel safer the moment they meet you.
Who This Is For
This course is for you if you work with people in any capacity and want to deepen your trauma literacy without diving into clinical training.
Perfect for:
🎯 Coaches (life, mindset, executive, somatic) - needing clear boundaries about trauma awareness vs processing
🎯 Therapists & Counsellors - who weren't trained in trauma wanting to understand trauma principles and apply them in practice. Especially good for early career clinicians - building confidence and competence with trauma literacy
🎯 Integrative & Holistic Practitioners (Yoga teachers, energy healers, and bodyworkers) - seeking trauma-informed principles that enhance existing work
You don’t need prior trauma training. Just an open mind and a commitment to holding safer, wiser space.
👉 This course is not for the general public. This is a professional training - there is no personal therapy or supervision is included.
What You’ll Learn
(8 Modules) | 7.5+ hours of training
Module 1 – Foundations of Trauma-Informed Practice
This module introduces what trauma-informed really means – not as a buzzword, but as a lived, relational, nervous-system-based approach. It anchors participants in safety, awareness and regulation as the foundation of all effective trauma-aware work.
Participants will learn to:
✧ Understand trauma through a nervous system lens rather than a diagnostic one
✧ Distinguish between trauma-informed and trauma-specialist practice.
✧ Recognise how trauma shows up in everyday clinical and relational settings
✧ Begin shifting their internal lens from pathology to protection
✧ Understand why regulation is the foundation of all trauma work
Module 2 – The Nervous System & Survival Responses
This module explores the neurobiology of trauma and survival states. It focuses on helping participants identify fight, flight, freeze, fawn and collapse/flop responses in real time within sessions and everyday interactions.
Participants will learn to:
✧ Understand the autonomic nervous system and trauma responses
✧ Identify survival states in clients, groups and themselves
✧ Recognise trauma responses behind presentations labelled as “difficult” or “resistant”
✧ Apply nervous system awareness without pathologising clients
✧ Use this knowledge to reduce shame and increase safety
Module 3 – Regulation & Grounding Tools
This module equips participants with practical regulation tools and grounding techniques tailored to different nervous system states. Emphasis is placed on real-world application, not just theory.
Participants will learn to:
✧ Apply grounding techniques for fight, flight, freeze, fawn and shutdown states
✧ Build a personalised regulation toolkit for use in their practice
✧ Recognise when a client needs regulation rather than insight
✧ Support safety before emotional processing
✧ Regulate their own nervous system in high-intensity moments
Module 4 – Co-Regulation & Therapeutic Presence
This module explores the practitioner’s nervous system as part of the intervention. It focuses on relational safety, co-regulation and how presence, not just technique, becomes the healing container.
Participants will learn to:
✧ Understand the neuroscience of co-regulation
✧ Strengthen therapeutic presence and relational attunement
✧ Use co-regulation skills with different client presentations
✧ Recognise and work with ruptures in the therapeutic relationship
✧ Stay regulated during emotionally charged or triggering sessions
Module 5 – Compassionate Language & Repairing Ruptures
This module focuses on how language shapes nervous system states. It helps participants move away from language that retraumatises and towards language that soothes, empowers and repairs relational ruptures.
Participants will learn to:
✧ Recognise how words impact shame, safety and nervous system responses
✧ Identify and replace harmful or pathologising phrases
✧ Use trauma-informed, parts-aware and compassionate communication
✧ Navigate ruptures using repair steps safely and transparently
✧ Reflect on their own nervous system reactions during conflict or rupture
Module 6 – Parts Awareness & Trauma-Informed Internal Work
This module introduces participants to trauma-aware parts language and inner systems awareness, supporting them to approach protectors, exiles and inner conflicts with safety and curiosity rather than judgment.
Participants will learn to:
✧ Understand trauma responses as parts-led survival adaptations
✧ Use safe, non-invasive language for working with parts
✧ Avoid common pitfalls when introducing parts work outside therapy settings
✧ Reflect on and meet their own internal parts compassionately
✧ Recognise when parts work goes beyond their scope
Module 7 – Scope of Practice, Ethics & Referrals
This module supports participants to stay within ethical boundaries, recognise when referral is needed, and navigate grey areas between trauma-informed support and trauma therapy.
Participants will learn to:
✧ Clearly distinguish trauma-informed work from trauma-specialist therapy
✧ Identify red flags requiring referral
✧ Understand grey zones and how to respond safely
✧ Navigate ethical dilemmas with clarity and integrity.
✧ Strengthen their boundaries to protect both client and practitioner
Module 8 – Integration, Embodiment & Ongoing Evolution
This final module brings everything together. It focuses on integrating trauma-informed practice into participants’ existing modality or sector, alongside embodiment, practitioner responsibility and future development.
Participants will learn to:
✧ Integrate trauma-informed principles into their own clinical or coaching framework
✧ Adapt lessons across therapy, coaching and holistic settings
✧ Distinguish knowledge from embodiment
✧ Use their nervous system as a therapeutic tool
✧ Commit to ongoing personal and professional evolution
