‘I have found the course so insightful and there have been many lightbulb moments for me personally and professionally. It has definitely changed my approach towards my clients in terms of understanding their trauma responses and how best to support them. It has also shaped my response to my teenage daughter’s recent mental health decline and allowed me to explain to her the science behind how she is feeling which reassured her enormously. I made copious notes which I intend to revisit to fully take it all in. I found your regular recaps very helpful in embedding the ideas into my brain.’

Meet Lou Lebentz
Lou is a globally recognised trauma educator, therapist, and speaker who has worked with thousands of clinicians, survivors, and systems around the world. Her work is grounded in lived experience, clinical depth, and a lifelong mission to transform how we respond to trauma - in ourselves, in others, and in the systems we build.
Read Lou’s Story

‘Last year, I was lucky enough to take part in Lou Lebentz's course. I found it very engaging from day one. The course started with the question, 'What is Trauma?', and from that point on guided us through the trauma journey in a very focussed, but gentle manner. Each week we worked on stages of the trauma journey, while being encouraged to give feedback on our understanding of the material. The course was packed with information, so Lou's team included time out for us so that we could calm our nervous systems, practice self-care, and process the information without getting overwhelmed. Taking part in this course has given me some very useful information and tools, which I now use in my work in the recovery world. I thoroughly enjoyed the course, and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a better understanding of trauma, and the tools to apply to it. ’

— Alex, Addiction Counsellor

“Our legal team now handles trauma cases with far more empathy, clarity and care.”
— HR Director, London

“I thought I came here to learn — but I ended up healing, too.”
— Emma, Psychotherapist

‘Being on The Voyage with Lou was transformational, in my deeper understanding of trauma, how it can be expressed in the body and mind and how it can be healed somatically with caring compassion and connection. It also became a personal journey of reframing my history of trauma, at times triggering and viscerally felt, which gave me a sense of authenticity, empowerment and catharsis. The safe space Lou created provided the optimum conditions for learning and personal development. Working with the group and their collective skills and experience expanded my knowledge base, there was a strong feeling of camaraderie and respect that carried us all Throughout.’
