Professional Training

Trauma-informed training for the people on the front line.

You did not become an educator, a social worker, a nurse, a coach, a probation officer, or a frontline worker to deliver trauma therapy. But you did walk into a role where trauma lives - in the people you serve, in your colleagues, and sometimes in yourself.

Professional Training equips you with the understanding, language, and frameworks to hold trauma-shaped people safely, without crossing into clinical territory. You stay in your role. You become more informed in it.

Who this pathway is for

Our Professional Training programmes are designed for non-clinical professionals working across:

  • Education and Early Years
  • Healthcare and Allied Health
  • Social Work and Safeguarding
  • Criminal Justice and Policing
  • Domestic Abuse and VAWG Services
  • Housing and Community Services
  • Charity and Humanitarian Services
  • Sport and Performance Environments
  • Law and Legal Services
  • Professional and Private Client Services
  • Community, Care, and Client-Facing Roles
  • Coaches, Therapists, and Trauma-Informed Practitioners

And anyone else whose work brings them into regular contact with trauma-shaped people.

How the Pathway Works

Most professionals begin with Essentials before progressing into TAPT Non-Clinical or the 4P Protocol™, depending on their role, sector, and level of exposure to crisis, safeguarding, trauma, and disclosure work.

Some organisations train whole workforces through Essentials first, before introducing specialist pathways for frontline or high-risk teams.

There is no single route through the work. The pathway is designed to meet professionals where they are and support the depth of understanding their role requires.

CPD Accreditation

All Professional Training programmes are CPD-accredited through the CPD Standards Office.

Training hours may contribute toward ongoing CPD requirements of BACP, UKCP, BPS, HCPC, NMC, Social Work England, and other professional and regulatory bodies that require CPD evidence.

Bringing This Into Your Organisation

We deliver trauma-informed training in-house across the UK, Europe, and the United States through workshops, organisational partnerships, and open-enrolment programmes.

Whole-organisation pathways are built around the Regulated Culture Framework™ and range from one-day introductions through to long-term organisational culture transformation.
