Clinical Pathway
Trauma-informed training for therapists, counsellors, and clinicians.
You have done the years of training. You hold your accreditation. You sit in the consulting room week after week, doing the work. And somewhere along the way, you may have begun to notice the limits of what many original trainings prepared us for - particularly when trauma is in the room, which is most of the time.
The Clinical Pathway is built for practitioners wanting to deepen, extend, and integrate the work they already do - through nervous system literacy, the Voyage® 12 Waves, trauma-informed practice, and frameworks designed to hold complexity without reducing people to symptoms, diagnoses, or presentations.
Who this pathway is for
The Clinical Pathway is designed for qualified, registered, or accredited practitioners working in:
- Psychotherapy and counselling
- Clinical psychology
- Coaching with a therapeutic remit
- Psychiatric and mental health nursing
- Addiction and recovery work
- Eating disorder treatment
- Trauma-specialised practice
- Allied health and complementary therapies
- Supervisory, leadership, and training roles
If you are not yet qualified but work closely with people in professional settings, the Professional Training pathway may be a better fit.
01
The Voyage® Essentials
Trauma-informed foundations for clinicians and therapists.

- A trauma-informed lens to strengthen and deepen your existing modality
02
Trauma and Addiction Masterclass

A CPD-accredited masterclass translating polyvagal theory into real-world therapeutic practice - exploring fight, flight, freeze, fawn, and flop through the lens of what clinicians actually encounter in the consulting room.
Inside, you will find:
- The polyvagal hierarchy explained in accessible clinical language
- Recognising fight, flight, freeze, fawn, and flop in real time
- Co-regulation as a therapeutic and relational intervention

- Deep relational learning within a carefully held practitioner cohort
- A potential pathway into a Voyage® facilitator role and trainer development
Train the Trainer Pathway
A small number of practitioners who move through the Deep Dive may later be invited to explore the Voyage® Train the Trainer pathway.
This is not a standard certification model or large-scale licensing programme. It is a relational, practice-based pathway for practitioners who deeply understand the work, embody the methodology's principles, and are aligned with the values and trauma-informed foundations of The Voyage®.
This is the entry requirement to become a future Voyage® facilitator and teach our programmes.
Places are limited and offered selectively over time.
How the Pathway Works
Most clinicians begin with Essentials before moving through the masterclasses in the areas most relevant to their practice, interests, and client groups.
The Deep Dive is the culminating practitioner programme, with a small annual intake and limited places each year.
There is no rigid order through the pathway. The work is designed to deepen alongside your clinical practice, your lived experience, and the complexity of the clients you support.
CPD Accreditation
All Clinical Pathway programmes are CPD-accredited through the CPD Standards Office.
Training hours may contribute toward ongoing CPD requirements of BACP, UKCP, BPS, HCPC, NMC, and other professional or regulatory bodies that require CPD evidence.
The Voyage® Academy is not directly accredited by BACP, UKCP, BPS, HCPC, or NMC. However, CPD hours gained through our programmes are widely accepted toward continuing professional development requirements.
What Clinicians Often Say
Clinicians moving through this pathway often describe a particular shift - one that can be difficult to name until it is experienced directly.
The work becomes steadier. Sessions hold more without becoming heavier. Complexity arrives, and there is somewhere for it to land. Practitioners often describe feeling more regulated, more spacious, and more able to stay present with what clients bring into the room.
This is the work the pathway is designed to support.
